Foe

Spotlight

Foe is an incredible female artist who used to be a member of the band Arthur. She has recently been writing with the hotly tipped Entrepreneurs, and is becoming a hyped artist in her own right. Foe aka Hannah Clark has recently signed a record deal with Mercury imprint, Vertigo records and an album is expected out early next year

The tracks that are circling the net at the moment are dirty, grungy, glitchy electro pop, put together in with sticky tape and pins.

There are also a few remixes around at the moment from Com Truise and even Kitsune artists Is Tropical. However I feel the most interesting one is more of an interpretation or a cover by Ghostpoet who has chosen to re-make rather than re-mix.

DRC Music

DRC Music
DRC Music is a collective of producers that made an album in 5 days with Congolese musicians in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo during July 2011. The result of the collaboration is a release of "Kinshasa One Two", a fundraising effort for Oxfam that manages the rare feat of raising money for a good cause while also containing some pretty fantastic music. The project’s acronymic title stands for “Democratic Republic of Congo,” and it involves pairing Western producers with Congolese musicians. The producers in question include Damon Albarn, Dan the Automator, and XL boss Richard Russell. There’s a bunch of tracks from the album streaming via Soundcloud. Kinshasa One Two is out today digitally — if you want a physical copy, you’ll have to wait until November (but you can pre-order now via the project’s website) buy from Bleep
