Former Wigan, Fulham and Hull midfielder Jimmy Bullard has clearly fallen on hard times since being forced to retire due to recurring knee injuries, as self-described “pikey circus” act Gorgeous George discover in their latest vid. Seems poor old Jimmy has swapped his trademark free-kicks for the tradesman’s entrance and become a builder, albeit one, as you can probably tell from the title (and the fact Jimmy fires up a “stick of Apache grass” the moment he arrives at a new job) who is something of a cowboy.

He does, however, meet his match in the form of a real cowboy and mustachioed doppelganger who not only steals his customers but blags the last bacon butty too (must feel a bit like when Fulham signed Clint Dempsey). Still, while Bullard’s football career may be over, perhaps, like a seagull following the trawler, he may follow Eric Cantona into the world of acting…

Misty's Big Adventure - Aggression
In these grim, recession-stained times, we could really do with a band like the Specials telling us just how shite it is living in the UK to a jaunty ska soundtrack (you know, to stop us getting too depressed). With Jerry 'n' Terry too busy bitching about each other to give us that hit, Misty's Big Adventure have taken on the challenge and channelled that spirit with this entertaining depiction of Midlands-based violence. There are 'Ghost Town' references a-plenty, but this video has a charm all of its own. As you may have inferred from the title, the song is largely about violence. So we follow Misty's singer Grandmaster Gareth as he dons a motorbike helmet in order to patrol the streets of "Broken Britain". He witnesses heads being smashed into car bonnets, discovers dead-eyed fornication behind the bins and gets caught between too lardy lasses in a chip shop brawl (the scene where the chippy owner plays the pickle jars like a xylophone is a stroke of genius). There's even an outbreak of excellent zombie skanking in an A&E ward. And while Gareth may be imploring them to give peace a chance in the song, even his patience snaps by the end...
