This fresh faced four piece are one of the tightest bands on the pub venue circuit and can turn the smallest, most soulless of environments into an immersive, rousing experience. Their particular brand of epic indie rock contains the sort of songwriting skills most people kill for, balancing emotional explosions with personal and highly descriptive lyrics. They’re definitely not trendy and that’s definitely a good thing.
Their latest clip sees them take on a rabbit-faced man in the sparse British countryside (pretty much a good summation of their sound). Think Explosions in the Sky with a bit of McCulloch leading the pack. However, and don’t tell them I said this, I sort of prefer the single’s b-side, ‘Contagious, Contagious’ – the minimal National-esque drums climaxing with an understated vocal and guitar duet…
