Last week it was our first ever album premiere, this week it’s our first ever video interview. What next, eh? A Monitors stage at Glastonbury? Well, if that were to occur, the first name down on our fantasy line-up (after Wiley of course) would be FEMME, aka Laura Bettinson, the one-woman powerhouse whose radio-friendly double A-side ‘Fever Boy’/’Educated’ (the former has been getting absolutely rinsed by Lauren Laverne lately) is slowly taking over our brains. Something which our brains are only too happy about.

Last week we were lucky enough to sit down with the rather charming Ms. Bettinson, and her truly impressive earrings, to discuss early influences (Whigfield!), current favourites (Micachu!) and future plans (world domination!). Have a gander, and then scroll down to enter our FEMME competition…

Interview, filming and editing by Amadeep Chana.

FEMME COMPETITION!

On Tuesday 26th November, White Heat hosts the launch party for ‘Fever Boy’ + ‘Heartbeat’ at Madame JoJo’s (tickets available for the wallet-friendly price of £6), with the excellent Machines and another Monitors favourite Mr. Jon Phonics on the bill too.

We’re giving away two pairs of tickets and two signed copies of the single on pink, heart-shaped vinyl. All you have to do is pop over to our Facebook competition and follow the instructions, or retweet this and follow her on Twitter. Good luck!
