The Island has been a long standing, if sporadic, essential London date for a couple of years now. In between the warehouse and basement shows across Hackney, it also helped spawn Vuvuvultures (RIP), and their label Energy Snake Records who released the rather ace and sub-bass friendly Ossa Di Mare earlier in the year.
This Saturday will see the party return to The Macbeth for a Halloween special (what else?) with some pretty spooktacular guests. But, almost more importantly, also some free Tequila.
Playing live will be stoner rockers Mars Red Sky, space rock from RIDDLES and stripped back punk courtesy of Cassels. To make things extra special though, they’ve enlisted the help of radical theatre group XX who’ll be spooking you with your worst nightmares and turning the Macbeth from a dark boozer to a darker one. Meanwhile LA web artist Adam Ferris (whose work you can watch below) will be mirroring your movements onto the walls.
