Teen Daze

Spotlight

A little late to the table on this one it seems.  Ah well, catch up time.  Teen Daze, an ambient electronic project from a yet anonymous Vancouver based producer who is riding the wave of lo-fi, dreamy acid washed sounds.

Yup, think Neon Indian, Animal Collective et cetera.   Anyway, rising about the masses pitchfork seem to think highly of the chap, he has apparently appeared 5 times in their forkast section…

Anyway, he started giving his tunes away on his tumblr site back in April and it just spun out from there, a phenomena I find thoroughly encouraging.    An individual artist still has the capacity to develop his own hype and profile based not on the depth of his pocket rather the quality of his music.    He even fits the image of a guy in his bedroom with a  laptop using Reason and Garageband

Teen Daze released his first ep digitally, on vinyl and on cassette tape (ltd to 100 units, nice!)….   Its called 4 more Years and you can buy it here
