LES SAVY FAV

Spotlight

Okay, so again not a new band on the Monitors, but its a new song with a new sound from a new album, so thats a triple new, justifying the songs inclusion here, isn’t it?  Yes.

Les Savy Fav, New York based indie rock band, with a  hint of the jangle style oft associated with Math rock (never really understood why it goes by that name) have been performing and recording since 1995.   The three most recent albums, including the brand new one Root To Ruin have all been released on bass player Syd Butlers label Frenchkiss Records.

Sleepless in Silverlake is the third track from their new album and it is a killer, a potent suckerpunch of a math-rock, bass heavy ode to LA.    Definitely recommend you buy the album…  http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/root-for-ruin/id385307602
