Tamaryn, The KVB @ Café 1001

Live

When: January 31, 2013

Kiwi shoegazer Tamaryn was due to bring her reverb-ridden sound to 93 Feet East this Thursday, only for it to be sadly shut down last week following a police raid (which you can actually watch taking place below – the internet, eh?). As a result, the gig has now moved down the road to Café 1001, where it remains the pick of the week (save for Mykki Blanco’s debut show at Birthdays maybe, but that sold out a while ago). Last year’s Tamaryn album “Tender New Signs” should sound fantastic live, and further excitement is guaranteed by a support slot from The KVB, whose wired, menacing psychedelia is utterly entrancing. In fact, we’d be going just to see them, so the fact Tamaryn is there too makes this pretty damn unmissable…

Excitingly, the secret headline DJ is alluded to have had a number one hit in 2012. Psy, is it you?
