Apps

Paul the App

Paul the App
That someone has created an app based around the exploits of late aquatic soothsayer Paul the Octopus is pleasing enough, but the fact it might actually be quite useful rather than just a tacky cash-in is a nice surprise. Paul the App is a video aggregator that 'predicts' the sort of videos you'll want to watch and starts loading them in advance so you don't have to wait for them to buffer and can watch them offline (don't worry, it's set to only do so when connected to WIFI, so there are no sudden obscene data charges). Sources include ESPN, Last.FM, Youtube and more, plus the usual social networks, and first impressions are that this could develop into something fantastic. Paul would be proud. Actually, he probably wouldn't to be honest. He's a fucking octopus.
