EA managed to snag the top spot in this year's Social Brands 100, set up by social media agency Headtream to rank brand engagement. The company's campaign to promote blow-up-the-foreigners shooter Battlefield 3. However, only 20 points separated EA from the hundredth placed brand, while the fact that 715 brands were nominated this year as opposed to 300 in 2012 shows just how important social media is becoming to brand profile.
