One half of our resident mixtape makers Swizzle Knicks was taken away on some very serious business last week and left the Knicks half to put together an early November new music mixtape. Most of the tunes included are releases from past month (or two, or three), including new R&B crooner Thurmon Green, Huxley’s recent collaboration with FEMME, also some great hip-hop in the shape of Run The Jewels, Karol Conka (admittedly this one’s from earlier in the year) and the recent badbadnotgood x Ghostface x Danny Brown collaboration. Weird world-y horn heavy tracks from Moon Hooch and Batida, while last two tracks are cuts from the upcoming Mr Bongo anniversary compilation (one of them you might recognise as an Eminem sample), also make an appearance.
In an effort to get out the house The Monitors DJ team will be hitting the Big Chill Bristol on November 14. Unless we’re not. And Swizzle Knicks will be making an appearance at the post-New Year hangover Racket 808 event at the Old Blue Last on January 3. More details to follow soon…
